Cristiano Ronaldo is angry with his recent record in front of goal - which is pretty unnecessary given it's only a two-game drought…

With four strikes in nine appearances in all competitions, Real's all-time top scorer is in the midst of his worst start to a season since joining the Spanish champions from Manchester United in 2009.
Ronaldo failed to score in Real's 5-1 drubbing of Legia Warsaw and Sunday's 2-1 success over Athletic Bilbao, substitute Alvaro Morata hitting the winner to take Real top of La Liga.
"I don't think he's anxious but he is perhaps angry, he wants to score goals and that's normal," Real boss Zinedine Zidane told a news conference ahead of Real's trip to Alaves.
Ronaldo is the Ballon d'Or favourite after winning the Champions League with Real and European Championship with Portugal. He also scored over 50 goals for Real for a record sixth consecutive season.
"He is unique because of what he has done and what he continues to do. He has set the bar so high that when he doesn't score people on the outside are surprised," added Zidane.
"He has to live with that, that's what it's like for phenomenal players like him."

OUR VIEW

There will come a time when Ronaldo goes on a barren run and never truly returns to the dizzy heights he has previously sat upon. But that occasion has not arrived yet. Although his form at home has dipped, Ronaldo has gone TWO GAMES without a goal. And before that, he had six in three, having scored four for Portugal against Andorra.
It highlight's the man's prowess and strive for perfection when it suddenly becomes headline news and a question posed to his boss.
The fact that Ronaldo is 'angry' after two games without a goal is enough to tell you why he has three Ballon d'Ors at home, and why a fourth is likely on its way.
Concerns should only rise if this run extends.
Since the 2011/12 season, Ronaldo has only gone without a goal in three successive games on nine separate occasions, while February 2011 was the last time he went four games without a goal. Despite the slight delay, we can safely assume that normal service will resume soon...
